Site Navigation A header navigation component that appears at the top (header) of the page and helps users move between main modules/pages of the site.
  • Use Cases: Standfirst is optionally meant to be used as a title. In an article, often serves as a brief introduction/summary before the main body
  • Dependencies
    None required. The Stand first article is fully self-contained and does not rely on child items or external data sources.
  • It could render as a Standfirst, with a max of 130 chars, which is set on the data source item on the field "Max Standfirst Length"
  • Could be added to the "awt-top", "awt-body" and "awt-bottom" placeholders
  • If the Paragraph data source item does not contain any value, the message "Paragraph data source should contain any text. Add it, please." is shown in the Experience Editor
  • It can also be displayed with an optional outer border.

Creating a Banner
  1. In Content Editor under page Folder create Articles Folder (if already created skip this).
  2. In Content Editor under Page Folder → Articles Folder create Standfirst Article item.
  3. In the created Standfirst Article item add Update the required field values - stand first text
  4. Fill in optional fields: Font Size, Font Height, Font weight, etc.
  5. In Experience Editor, insert the StandfirstArticle rendering into the awt-container as necessary
  6. Associate the StandfirstArticle item as the data source.

Adding Para/CTAs
  1. In the Experience Editor select 'awt-paragraph' placeholder under rendered Standfirst and press "Add here" button.
  2. Add a CTA/Paragraph rendering as per the design.
  3. Associate it to data source item.
  4. Repeat for multiple components if needed
  • Bordered: Standfirst Text with an outer border
  • Dark mode: Article with black background
