Advance Map An interactive map component that displays a selected location with clickable pins powered by Google Maps.
  • Use Cases: Where and why this component should be used (homepage hero, section headers, promotional banners).
  • Dependencies
    • None required. The Illustration Card is fully self-contained and does not rely on child items or external data sources.
  • API Key: Allows the component to authenticate and load Google Maps.
  • Center Latitude & Longitude: Defines the initial map position when the component loads.
  • Zoom Level: Controls how close or far the map view appears on load.
  • Pins per Column: Determines how many pin labels are displayed per column beneath the map.
  • Advance Map Pin Items: Pins that appear on the map and open an info window when clicked.

Creating an Advance Map
  1. In Content Editor, create a "Advance Map Folder" under the "_datasources" of your page
  2. Create a new Advance Map item from the Advance Map template.
  3. Fill in the required fields
  4. Important: Under the Advance Map item, create a Advance Map Pin child item
    • This is required for the Advance Map to render correctly on the page
    • Populate the Advance Map Pin required fields (title, address, website URL...)
  5. In Experience Editor, insert the Advance Map rendering into the awt-container placeholder.
  6. Associate the Advance Map item as the data source.
